The Dyslexic Apparel Story

Hey 👋 I'm Chris! You might know me as @notcampbellsoup

This journey started with a TikTok video. Little did I know that video would resonate with so many people and I would be able to assemble so many Dyslexicons in the comments.

The phrase people kept commenting was "I thought this was just me"I knew I wanted to physicalise that feeling of not being alone, and that's where this clothing brand started. Before the name...I had the mascot. Life gave us Melons as dyslexics, and I knew I wanted a cute one to represent us. After posting the drawing on my instagram I got everyone to vote on what the name should be. After 1,000 votes..."Walter Melon" was born!

I founded this brand to spark conversations and challenge the misconceptions around dyslexia. With 1 in 5 people in the UK affected, dyslexia is still widely misunderstood and too often overlooked. I believe bold, creative design can help change that.

When you wear Dyslexic Apparel, you’re joining a community that celebrates difference, breaks down stigma, and reminds the world that different doesn’t mean less.

I'm proudly donating 10% of profits to the British Dyslexia Association, helping to support their work and raise awareness of both the challenges and strengths that come with dyslexia.

Dyslexic Apparel is a community to remind you that you're not alone in this journey.
